
Young Jazz Trumpeter Ambrose Akinmusire Announces New Album
To Pimp a Butterfly contributor slates June 5th release for his next record, shares lead single

Following the masterful Origami Harvest, the Oakland bred trumpeter Ambrose Akinmusire will be releasing his fifth studio album, on the tender spot of every calloused moment, June 5th on all streaming platforms.
Garnering critical acclaim on every project since his debut in 2008, Akinmusire has also gained praise for his contributions on Kendrick Lamar’s jazz-inflicted magnum opus To Pimp a Butterfly, on which he played trumpet on the final track, “Mortal Man.”
