“King’s Dead” – Jay Rock ft. Kendrick Lamar, Future, James Blake
After dropping a track with SZA (“All The Stars”) for the upcoming film Black Panther, he’s back with another new track, “King’s Dead.” This time Kendrick Lamar teamed up with Jay Rock, James Blake, and Future, produced by Teddy Walton and Mike Will-Made-It. “King’s Dead” is also a single off Jay Rock’s upcoming new album. The catchy, heavy, bumpin’ beats are accompanied by a fire flow with a couple references to TDE’s Boss Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith, “La Di Da Di,” and Juicy J’s “Slob On My Knob.” And finally, Lamar references Black Panther’s main villain, Killmonger. Top Dawg and Kendrick Lamar will executive produce the full soundtrack for Black Panther, set to release on February 16th. The full Black Panther soundtrack is available for pre-order now on Apple Music here.
