Stephen James The Artist Review
One of the newest and most sought-after musicians in the New York music scene, small-town Massachusetts artist Stephen James The Artist’s music is gaining traction for his emotional pop ballads and hip-hop collaborations.
James is one of those rare artists who has the unique ability to blend sound, and it shows in his music. From the poppy and electro-influenced “Runnin” to the country-inspired ballad “Tennessee,” James is just getting started introducing the world to his music. His lyrics are heartfelt and relatable, set to catchy beats and passionate vocals.
James has a Mac Miller-Esque quality in which his music refuses to be contained by one particular genre, and he does this effortlessly. Every song brings a new and different sound that leaves you wanting more, all while evoking raw and intense emotion.
James has gained traction throughout New York, playing in sold-out venues across the city and making himself known as a force to be reckoned with. Every now and then an artist comes along who is so incredibly unique you cannot help but listen, and James embodies this in every sense of the phrase.
