The “Romance Mike” Experience Presented by Pretty Pape$ and Traklife
Traklife recently hosted another album listening session featuring artist Pretty Pape$ for his latest release, “Romance Mike.” And yes, it is the ultimate simp album of the year, with tracks describing both the highs and the lows that love and relationships entail. I had the pleasure of interviewing the Orange County native and getting to know more about the details of the album, his influences, his background, and how he’s been coping with the pandemic. We dove into the album, track by track, shared some of his music videos, and he performed two of his tracks, “Alone wit you” and topped the night off with, “Too Smooth.”
The Filipino-American proclaims himself as the “best looking rapper on earth” and he actually has quite the resume with over 150 performances under his belt including a school tour with one of LA’s popular hip-hop FM radio stations, Power 106, and a domestic tour in Texas with some of I.E.’s hottest artists like Noa James. You may have heard one of Pretty Pape$ songs, “Boomin,” it went viral on TikTok after about a year after its release with almost 30k streams. The track was used by the likes of the NBA, NFL, Fenty Beauty, Sports Illustrated, Pro bull riding, and WNBA (LA Sparks).
Pape$ takes the crown for a solid work ethic as he is constantly in a consistent flow of project releases including new visuals, music, interviews, and performances including his most recent one at Dash Radio. The artist is also a jack of all trades, dabbling in producing and songwriting. We’re so glad he was able to include Traklife on his press run as it was an absolute pleasure meeting and getting to know more about the man behind the music.
